Sunday School
Eastminster offers Sunday School classes for everyone from adults to children. Sunday School classes take place at 9:30am (right after the 1st service) in both the Christian Education Wing and also the Haines House.
The Faithweaver curriculum is used for all levels of Sunday School. Children, youth and adults all work off the same basic lesson plan each week. By using Faithweaver, families are able to discuss lessons on their level in class and also as a family.
Adults have other options besides the Faithweaver Sunday School class. Adults can join up with the Wired Word class or the Life Lessons class. Life Lessons uses Max Lucado's book to take a interesting look at the books of James and Peter. Wired Word focuses on current events and what the bible says.

Sunday School Mission Projects
Canned Food for the Cart- We collect food in a grocery cart (located on the 1st Floor of the Christian Education Wing) on the second Sunday of the month. Cans will also be collected on between October 9th- November 6th for both Thanksgiving and Christmas Deliveries to local charities.
Helping Hands Food Box Cards- Each Thanksgiving and Easter, the Deacons at Eastminster distribute boxes of food to the needy. Cards colored or decorated by our children in church school are a personalized addition. A week or two before Thanksgiving and Easter, the Deacons will arrange to have cards in each of the classrooms. Cards then are paired up with the boxes and handed out. Click here for more information on helping hands.
Joy Offering- During Advent, all children will be participating in our Joy Offering for Presbyterian seminary students and faithful servants who need particular medical aid.
One Great Our of Sharing- During Lent, children will be participating in our One Great Hour of Sharing appeal; a time to gather offerings to help mission both here and abroad. The children will receive banks to fill at home, along with tips to help encourage them to share what they have. On Palm Sunday, children will be invited to "cast" their fish gently into a fish net in the Sanctuary on the way to Church School. This is a visual reminder of what we can do together in Jesus name.
Christmas Nativity Figurines
Each year every child in a Eastminster's Sunday morning Church School receives a nativity figurine on Figurine Sunday. By the time a child is in eighth grade, their nativity set should be complete. A sample of the finished set is put into each classroom by the Figurine Coordinators prior to Advent.
The purpose of the Figurine program is for each child to receive a Christmas present from Eastminster. The wrapped figurine boxes, labeled with children's names, will be in classrooms on Figurine Sunday (December 2nd, 2007).
